**CALI: Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance |
< Comments >
The lines of CALI, fire, personal accident, miscellaneous and cargo and transit fared well enough to make up with a fall in the voluntary automobile line. Overall, premiums increased 2.4% for the third quarter and 2.3% year to date over a year ago. Specifically, Home Pika-ichi fire insurance, which covers natural disaster risks as well, and earthquake insurance contributed to the increase. Miscellaneous and cargo and transit met firm demands from corporate clients. In the personal insurance line, ViV Shushin whole life and overseas travel insurances account considerably for the increase. |
