On May 25, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (China) Company, Limited,(MSI China), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. (President: Toshiaki Egashira ,MSI), received an approval from China Insurance Regulatory Commission to prepare for establishing its branch in Beijing.
MSI China will aim to commence operations of its Beijing Branch from this autumn, subject to final approval from relevant authorities.

We have been making effort to enhance our framework for providing the best risk solutions to our clients operating in China, by transforming our Shanghai Branch into a wholly-owned subsidiary in December 2007, and by establishing Guangdong Branch in October 2008.
By establishing the Beijing Branch we will be the first subsidiary of a Japanese insurer to setup our operational arm in the capital of Beijing.
Therefore we will be able to serve our clients directly across Beijing

Furthermore, with the establishment of Beijing Branch, we will have our operational arms in Shanghai (Head Office), Guangdong (Branch) and Beijing (Branch), which are respectively located in East China, South China and North China, the major three regions.

We will continue to expand our sales network by acquiring business license at locations where there are MSI’s representative offices.
