| Submission of Business Improvement Plan |
The Company has today submitted a business improvement plan to the Financial Services Agency in accordance with the remedial action order of June 21, 2006.
We wish to express our most sincere apologies to all our customers and many other interested parties for any inconvenience they may have experienced as a result of these recent administrative measures.
The Company takes these recent measures extremely seriously, and has formulated a business improvement plan that aims to dramatically review business operations for ‘a company that puts the first priority on the customers' view'. By steadily implementing this business improvement plan, the Company will drastically improve and strengthen its corporate governance, claims payment administration system and product development administration system, policyholder protection and benefits, and legal compliance system, and is making every possible effort in its undertaking to restore the confidence of all its customers and other related parties.
Also, in addition to steadily implementing this business improvement plan, the Company will from here on develop a new group vision with the participation of all employees making use of customer comments, as well as launch a new corporate culture creation project with the goal of good corporate transparency and lines of communication.
