| Notice regarding
Repurchase of the Company's Own Shares |
The Company hereby announces that it has repurchased its own shares
in the market, pursuant to the provisions of Article 211-3, Section
1, Paragraph 2 of the Commercial Code of Japan as set forth below:
The Company also announces that at the meeting of the Board of Directors
held on October 29, 2004 a resolution was adopted of which this repurchase
will be the last and no further repurchases of its own shares pursuant
to the resolution of the Board of Directors held on July 29, 2004
will be made. This is because the Company has taken into consideration
an increase in the amount of business investments and an increase
in claims payable for damages caused by typhoons during the year,
among other factors. If further repurchases of the Company's own shares
pursuant to Article 211-3, Section 1, Paragraph 2 of the Commercial
Code of Japan are made prior to March 31, 2005, the Company will separately
adopt a resolution at the meeting of the Board of Directors and make
it public. |
